Monitor your program
It is important to think about how you can measure the success of your wellness program.
Collect and analyze information regularly to track progress against plans and check compliance to established standards. Identify trends and patterns, adapt strategies, and evaluate program decisions to stay on track. You may want to build indicators of success or key performance indicators (KPIs) into your work plan:
- reduced sick days
- number of participants
- number of communications to employees
- number of wellness topic themes per year
- participant satisfaction
- turnover/retention rates
- increased productivity
- increase in health knowledge
Keep track of these indicators and evaluate them against your program each year. Remember that wellness programs can take years to show an impact.
